Bright Color LCD Status Display

Classic Broadcast Deck Controls
Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio has a classic broadcast style control panel that is very fast to use. Just press the record button and start recording the video input instantly! You can also change the recording file format from the menu. There are transfer control buttons such as play, rewind, fast forward, previous clip and next clip. Promodels have a machined metal search dial that supports fast, slow and end-to-end scrolling so you can quickly find clips. Each button pressed on the front panel is sent to the rear RS-422 remote control output to transmit the command to several HyperDecks. Plus and Pro models have a front panel speaker and headphone connection for listening to live sound.
Save to External USB-C Disks
When you need to record on other types of media, the USB-C expansion port lets you use an external flash drive for recording. USB-C flash drives are incredibly versatile as they can be physically larger than an SD card or SSD. What's more, you won't waste time copying files before you start post-production, as it's possible to record on a disk array you'll use for editing. Just plug the disc into a computer and start editing right away! You can also add a Blackmagic MultiDock 10G with 4 separate SSD slots for Balackmagic HyperDeck Studio Mini and Plus models to be compatible with SSD environments. The built-in LCD also has menus for managing external disks.

Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio has a wide variety of video and audio connections such as 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI or 12G-SDI depending on the model. Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio All models have HDMI for connecting to televisions and projectors. Prove Plus models even have a dedicated SDI display output with on-screen status indicators. Prove Plus models feature two SDI outputs so they can play ProRes 4444 files and provide simultaneous fill and key outputs for keying to live production switchers. Internal timecode and reference generator links can be daisy chained to synchronize multiple devices for ISO recording! The 4K model has 10G Ethernet for extremely fast file uploads to the network environment! All models have AC and locking DC power connections!
Choose 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI or 12G-SDI Model!
With multi-rate SDI, most common video standards are supported. SDI and HDMI connections automatically switch video standards, so SD, HD and UltraHD formats are used depending on the model. SD formats include NTSC and PAL; 720p HD standards include 720p50 and 720p59.94p; 1080i HD interlaced formats include 1080i50 and 1080i59.94; 1080p HD formats include 1080p23.98, 24, 25, 29.97, 30, 50, 59.94 and 60p. HyperDeck can even handle 1080 PsF formats! On the 4K model, UltraHD formats up to 2160p60 are supported. The 4K model also supports 2K and 4K DCI speeds up to 30p. HyperDeck Studio also supports A-level and B-level when using HD video at 3G-SDI speeds.
USB Webcam Output for Video Software
For compatibility with different computer software, Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio sends signals like a webcam using the USB connection. If you are not recording to an external USB disk, you can plug the HyperDeck USB connection directly into the computer to get your video live to your video software. Built-in Timecode and Sync Generators
All models have a built-in timecode and sync generator, so you can use several units for digital signage or multitrack recording. Each HyperDeck has dedicated outputs where internal synchronization and timecode generator signals are sent for reference and timecode. The generators "operate independently" unless a reference or timecode is connected to the inputs and if connected the generators will automatically lock onto this signal. That is, you can link HyperDecks together to create a perfectly timed recorder sequence.
