BirdDog P4K

The large 1” Sony Exmor R CMOS Sensor and 14.4 million effective pixels enable the P4K to deliver stunning images at 4K resolutions with Full Bandwidth NDI®. Excellent light sensitivity makes the P4K perfect for all broadcast applications, sports, remote studios, newsrooms, houses of worship and any shoot where quality matters.

Sony 1” Sensor.
The P4K is custom built with the best sensor in its category. The massive 1” Sony Exmor R CMOS sensor delivers stunning images in all shooting modes and frame rates, whether HD or 4K.

Full NDI.
There are two flavors in the NDI® world, NDI® and NDI | HX. NDI® is a variable bitrate I-Frame codec that reaches approximately 140Mbit at 1080p60 and is visually lossless. NDI | HX is a compressed, long GOP, H.264 variant that reaches around 12Mbit at 1080p60. The P4K is a Full NDI® camera.

BirdDog Cloud Integration.

P4K can communicate directly with BirdDog Cloud without the need for a computer running Cloud Core. Connect the P4K to your network and configure it via BirdDog Cloud Command to control all functions of P4K from anywhere in the world.

More than a production PTZ. Shoot true cinematic styles.
P4K is a PTZ designed for the most demanding live production shooting and supports all the traditional frame rates you would expect, including 29.97, but now you can use your PTZ as a camera for TVCs, drama and shoot 24p for that great cinematic look.

Advanced Color Controls.
With user-selectable gamma settings and black gamma settings, you can easily fine-tune your shot.

10 bits. NDI4.
The P4K is a 10-bit sensor and with NDI4 you can have an end-to-end 10-bit workflow. With 10-bit support, you can record NDI streams using free tools like NewTek NDI Monitor or IsoCorder Pro.

Full NDI. 6G SDI. HDMI 2.0.
Full NDI. Two independent 6G SDI outputs and an HDMI 2.0 output are available to create surprisingly flexible workflows.

genlock.
You can now sync multiple cameras using the Genlock entry.

Super Slim Robotics. Precise control at your fingers.
P4K's robotic system is extremely sensitive. Decrease pan and tilt speeds to create professional shots, or increase their speeds to follow high-action sports.

360 degree Tally lights.
Front, rear and side Tally lights combine to create a 360-degree Tally light. Now everyone on the production set can see which camera is live.
