Tascam DR-05X Professional Handheld Recorder

The new DR-05X; It offers high-quality stereo recording in MP3 or WAV format, including 96 kHz / 24-bit high-resolution audio, using microSD, microSDHC or microSDXC media in a portable body. The omnidirectional microphone pair processes up to 125 dB SPL with sensitivity to capture every detail. In addition, users can use their own microphones or line level sound sources by connecting them to the mini jack stereo input, and they can use microphones that need Phantom Power power through this input.

Using the DR-05X with just the thumb is quick and easy. Operations such as recording, adjusting levels, deleting bad shots and adding markers can be done with just the push of a button. Many features such as Low-pass filtering, Variable Speed Select, chromatic tuner and others can be selected from the multilingual menu (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Russian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese). Three different auto level modes (Limiter, Peak Reduction, Auto Level) can help prevent accidental distortion during recording. There's also a Level Alignment function to smooth out sudden audio jumps during playback, and a built-in speaker is provided for quick listening. Users can apply one of six different reverb effects to the input or output signal. With the Overdub feature, it allows recording your other channels, such as a solo guitar, on an attack recording previously made in a rehearsal studio. Overdubbing creates a new file, which makes it easy to re-save without affecting the original file.

The new Dictation Mode allows the user to skip forward and backward in preset increments while playing a file. For example; It can be combined with speed control and a custom dictation EQ and is useful for writing down your minute recordings. The new tape-style Overwrite mode with one level of tape undo allows users to select an entry time and replace part of an existing recording.

Besides handheld recordings, the DR-05X can also be used as a dual-input and output USB audio interface, making it a tool for audio output work, live broadcasting, podcasting, and songwriting with studio-quality sound.

Two AA batteries can power the recorder for more than 17 hours, even when recording in CD quality. Operation via USB bus power or an optional AC adapter (PS-P520E) is also possible.
