Tascam SERIES-8P - 8 Channel Microphone Preamp

TASCAM has long been known for its transparent, natural, ultra-low noise preamp models, and the 8 TASCAM HDIA (High Definition Instrumentation Architecture) preamps included in the SERIES 8P Dyna are among the best preamps ever.

The noise level (EIN) is -127dBu, THD is 0.0007%, dynamic range is 116dB and cross talk is 119dB. Each SERIES 8P Dyna channel also features an easy-to-use, single-control analog compressor with true bypass to process hot input signals and create smooth audio input.

With two instrument/mic combo inputs on the front panel, you can quickly plug in mics, guitars, basses and more. Six balanced mic/line inputs add elegance to the rear.

Each microphone input has individual +48V phantom power to use different microphone types such as dynamic and condenser for smooth operation and safety. Adds a versatile front-end for recording and live sound.

Dual S/MUX optical outputs on the back of the SERIES 8P Dyna allow you to use the unit as a front-end extender for S/MUX equipped audio interfaces such as TASCAM SERIES 102i and SERIES 208i and Celesonic US-20x20.

ADAT compatibility is also available. You can significantly expand your system's capabilities by sending all 8 SERIES 8p Dyna channels up to 96 kHz (four channels at 176.4 or 192 kHz) with two S/MUX outputs.
